藍染義足(殻構造/骨格構造)
長さが違って見える2本の義足。でも実は同じ「下腿義足」。短く見える方が骨格構造といって「ソケット」と「パーツ群」が再構築ができる今風モジュール型。長く見える方が殻構造で、昔なら木材をくり抜いて「ソケットと下腿部分を一体化」する作り方。これは完成後の調整が大変…。なので、最近はあまり用いられない。ところが「デザイン」という側面から考えると、表現できる表面積が大きい『殻構造』が復権する、その逆転現象が義肢装具士の立場からすると、とても興味深い。
